Here is a list of some of these unique venues, with links to their respective websites where available! The City Museum [ Photo Gallery ] Visiting the City Museum is an experience! It is a magical world forged of recycled, recovered and reshaped treasures. In addition to housing some of the most captivating interactive art, City Museum is one of the most unique places to have a party, corporate function, or reception. The City Museum offers it's lower floor and mezzanine, Architectural Hall or Vault Room for your next event! Mad Art Gallery [ Photo Gallery ] Mad Art Gallery is housed in a wonderful 1930s Art-Deco Police Station, beautifully restored and converted into a unique venue for any event. Mad Art boasts 19,000 square feet of terrazzo floors and marble hallways. Everything that made it a working police station is still here for you to experience along with monthly exhibitions of contemporary art from emerging regional artists. The main gallery space was formerly the squad car garage. The sergeant’s desk often serves as the bar for our events. And the jail cells are not only conversation pieces but conversation places. Mad Art will accommodate groups of 150-180 for seated dinners and over 300 for cocktail parties. The Foundry Art Centre World's Fair Pavilion The Jewel Box in Forest Park The Thaxton is an exquisitely restored Art Deco building combining the excitement of the main floor depicting Tamara De Lempicka cubistic paintings and Vargas prints with a speakeasy Art Deco bar in the lower level. You will have the opportunity to hold your event on the first floor, mezzanine, and lower level for a very unique gathering. This area is a sparkling jewel that is sure to please everyone. This venue can accommodate parties of 125 to 385 on up to three floors. The Mahler Ballroom Designed by Theodore Link and built in 1907 as a ballroom and a residence for the Jacob Mahler Family. This elegant Victorian style building has many of the original features preserved, including a 24' height ceiling with an ornate balcony surrounding all sides. The rock maple floor is wonderful for dancing and 17 Austrian crystal chandeliers illuminate the room. The 4000 square foot facility seats up to 300 guests for a seated event (including balcony seating). Since the 1890’s, the building that currently houses Preservation Hall, has served as a meeting hall, a school, and theater. The renovation of Soulard Preservation Hall, reconnects this important building to its’ historic surroundings in the Soulard neighborhood. With its beautiful hard wood floors and exposed brick Soulard Preservation Hall can accommodate small meetings of 10 to large seated dinners for 200 and theatre seating for up to 350.
The St. Louis Carousel, with its more than 60 hand carved horses and deer, was built in 1920 by the Dentzel Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Originally located at the Forest Park Highlands on Oakland Avenue, St. Louis County and the Faust Cultural Heritage Foundation restored the Carousel in 1987, and placed it in a climate controlled facility to insure its preservation. Its current home includes space for special events. How much fun is it to include a fully functioning Carousel at your special event! The Roberts Orpheum Theater Casa Loma Ballroom Built in the 1920's this unique ballroom brings back the days of the Big Bands. It has one of the largest true wood dance floors still available in St. Louis, along with a dramatic 2nd story balcony. This nostalgic facility seats events of up to 1000 guests. Third Degree Glass Factory Located in the heart of St. Louis is a community access glassblowing studio. The Third Degree offers its facility for special events in which guests can witness glass blowing and even participate in creating works of art themselves. Seating up to 300 guests for events. The Sheldon Concert Hall The Sheldon was designed by the noted 1904 World's Fair Architect Louis Spiering. Experience the elegance of a bygone era. Enjoy historic grandeur combined with contemporary event planning and personalized execution. The Sheldon has reigned among the city's finest special event facilities since 1912. Overlooking the city's Central West End, The Sheldon Ballroom features golden hardwood flooring, a full stage and dramatic beamed ceilings with large skylights. This intimate setting accommodates 250 for dinner or more than 300 for cocktail receptions. Mount Pleasant Winery is located in the heart of the Augusta Appellation wine district and is the oldest operating winery in Augusta...the first in the United States. Mount Pleasant Winery offers several private areas and rooms to host an event your guests will always remember. Mount Pleasant Winery offers their guests a wonderful wine country experience with a beautiful view and excellent selection of wine. Perfect for private parties, weddings and receptions, it is also an inspiring location for business meetings, retreats and seminars. The Pageant The Pageant Nightclub was built from the ground up specifically as a live music venue and opened for the first time on October 19, 2000. The name is the only remnant from the long-gone Pageant movie theater which was located about 3 blocks further east on Delmar from our location. The Pageant and The Halo Bar are both available for party rentals. Bowling Hall of Fame If you're looking for a "striking" place to host your next company meeting/party, reception, birthday party or a Cardinal pre-game party, then look no further than the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame. Individuals or groups can rent the three-level facility for a surprisingly affordable price. The Bowling Museum also has a special meeting room, which provides an excellent setting for training sessions, business meeting and luncheon for up to 35 people. The Old Courthouse The Old Courthouse was built in the early 1800s and served as both judicial and civil offices until 1930. The majestic rotunda, located at the center of the Old Courthouse, was restored from 1981 through 1986 and is a beautiful place for a private event. The rotunda and second-level balcony are suitable for 100 guests for a sit-down dinner and 200 guests for a stand-up reception. Rialto Ballroom In the heart of the historic Grand Center Entertainment district the Centene Center for the Arts building is the home of the glamorous Rialto Ballroom. This enchanted ballroom makes for a unique venue for special events, with its glass atrium and roof top deck that over looks downtown St. Louis. This nostalgic building was originally constructed in the 1880’s as a Ballet Academy for young girls. With it’s new millennium touches this magnificent ballroom will accommodate seated dinners for up to 300 guests and standup cocktail receptions for as many as 500.
Grandel Theatre The Magic House
St. Louis City Hall Rotunda This architectural masterpiece features a white marble rotunda, about 100 feet square, with a colored glass skylight above and a marble grand staircase opposite the main entrance. Built in 1896 this government center offers the magnificent rotunda to St. Louis citizens for special events during its off hours. The Lodge at Grant's Trail Situated on Grant's Trail, a biking and walking recreational trail is the magnificent Lodge at Grant's Trail. Completed in 2000, the Lodge offers a rustic mountain lodge atmosphere while providing elegance in dining which is simply outstanding. The lodge also boasts 8 themed bedrooms all with private baths and fireplaces. Simply one of the most unique new event venues to come to St. Louis. The lodge accommodates approximately 75 people sit-down style (or 110 utilizing the new "Garden" room) and 150 for a cocktail reception with larger groups possible using the beautiful patio and back yard area. The City of Fenton, located between Highway 270 and Six Flags over Mid-America on Interstate 44, boasts one of the finest recreational facilities in the St. Louis area. Riverchase of Fenton has an Olympic size competition swimming pool, an outdoor water park, an indoor water park with lap pool, indoor running track, weight training facility, indoor basketball and volleyball courts and approximately 4000 square feet of meeting and banquet space. In its development they have added a wonderful ballroom that has an entity of its own. With a fresh décor, beautiful window treatments, a great built in bar and dance floor it is a perfect setting for any celebration. The facility has the capacity to seat up to 400 guests.
